David Miliband to address Cannes delegates

Former UK foreign secretary David Miliband leads the TFWA World Exhibition & Conference speaker line-up and will be joined by Julián Díaz González, Dufry CEO, and Randi Zuckerberg, former Facebook director of market development, at the event this October.

The speakers will follow Tax Free World Association (TFWA) president Erik Juul-Mortensen, who will outline the challenges and opportunities faced by the travel retail and duty free sector.

In addition to the main conference session, a selection of workshops covering the inflight channel and the Russian market will provide visitors additional industry insight.

Delegates will also be able to access the latest TFWA data on the travelling consumer with the return of the Research Workshop for a second year.

“There is considerable opportunity for growth in our industry, but we also face challenges from a diverse range of quarters,” said Juul-Mortensen.

“The TFWA World Exhibition & Conference will provide attendees with useful and up-to-date information that will help them to overcome these challenges. Sharing debate on the latest thinking in our business will enable us to lay the foundations for a successful future in the duty free and travel retail industry across the world.”

New for 2016 is the introduction of the ONE2ONE meeting service, a successful facility already in place at both the TFWA China’s Century Conference and the TFWA Asia Pacific Exhibition & Conference. Meetings will be scheduled on exhibitor stands throughout Thursday 6 October and on the morning of Friday 7 October.

The TWFA Exhibition & Conference will take place at the Palais des Festivals, Cannes, from 2-7 October 2016.
