Beefeater unveils movie-inspired bottle

Beefeater Gin has launched a limited edition bottle to kick off its digital ‘Our London Movie Awards’ campaign, which invites fans from around the world to pick their “ultimate London films”.

The new bottle “captures the spirit of London”

The new bottle is intended to “capture the spirit of London, just as the nominated movies do”, and features the traditional Yeoman re-imagined as a movie award set in front of the London skyline.

Consumers are encouraged to explore, learn about and vote for their favourite nominated movies on a designated web platform, while fans in select markets will have the chance to enter a competition to win a movie-inspired trip to London.
According to the brand, the awards showcase the “greatest” films that have been inspired by the city, and provide a full tour of a host of iconic London locations – from Baker Street to the Houses of Parliament to bohemian bookstores.
To mark the launch, Beefeater’s global brand ambassadors have created eight cocktails inspired by the shortlisted films, from Diamond Fizz inspired by Snatch to the Dog’s Nose Negroni from Oliver Twist.
Tim Stones, global beefeater brand ambassador, said: “The Our London Movie Awards shortlist provided me with the perfect inspiration for a collection of cocktails. There are so many iconic London references in each film that perfectly lent themselves to being paired with Beefeater Gin and the spirit of London which it embodies.
“From smoky ingredients used for an innovative V for Vendetta inspired Gunpowder Martini, to recreating true classics such as the Gin + Dubonnet for The King’s Speech, the cocktails all capture the true spirit and diversity of London.”
Links to the cocktail recipes and short videos showing how to prepare them can be found through the brand’s social media channels.
Eric Sampers, global brand director, added: “Beefeater is a modern gin with a rich heritage that is founded on its intrinsic links to London. Through the Our London Movie Awards we’re proud to be opening up Beefeater’s home city to consumers with exclusive content and new cocktails. We are delighted that through the new, premium design of the limited edition bottle and the innovative digital movie awards, we are able to excite gin and film enthusiasts alike.”
The bottle is available globally at an RRP of £17.50.

Earlier this month the brand launched its sixth annual cocktail competition, this year challenging contestants to create a new serve inspired by an iconic London film for the chance to craft their own gin.
