Wild Tiger Rum secures onboard listing

Indian rum brand Wild Tiger has partnered with Tiger Air Singapore to retail on all routes operated by the carrier.

Wild Tiger Special Reserve Rum will be available for retail on Tiger Air flights

Said to be India’s “first” rum to be produced from a blend of molasses and cane juice, Wild Tiger first launched in the UK in 2015 before expanding into UAE markets, as well as Bangalore and Mumbai travel retail.

According to Wild Tiger, the new partnership marks the “first” time an Indian beverage brand has been made available for onboard sales internationally.

Wild Tiger founder and Indian drinks entrepreneur, Gautom Menon, is “eager” to establish the brand in the top rum markets of the world with a focus on travel retail.

Menon said: “We are thrilled to announce our partnership with Tiger Air Singapore, we believe the brand connect is ideal given the similar imagery both our brands have in common.

“Passengers on Tiger Air Singapore now have a great option for not just a unique rum label but also to get their hands on as a great collectors or gifting item.

“Given India’s strong ancient roots to the origin of rum we would like to take an Indian brand to new territories and unscaled heights. We are starting our in-flight sales journey with Tiger Air before it’s available on other leading carriers of Europe and Asia”

Just as no two tigers share the same stripes, the stripe design on each bottle of Wild Tiger is unique, making each bottle a ‘special edition’.

The brand donates 10% of its profits towards its own non profit Wild Tiger Foundation, which works with wildlife establishments and tiger experts to save the tiger and its habitat.

Wild Tiger Rum will retail for USD$23 on Tiger Air.
