‘First’ Norwich gin set for official launch
By Melita KielyThe “first” gin distilled in Norwich, UK, is preparing to officially launch this week – Bullards Norwich Dry Gin.
Bullards Norwich Dry Gin is the first gin distilled in NorwichThe expression is the work of Patrick Fisher, owner of the Redwell Brewery, Russell Evans, co-owner of the Bullards brand, Craig Allison, former manager of the Gin Palace in Norwich, and head distiller Peter Smith.
Bullards Norwich Dry Gin is made from 10 botanicals including South American tonka beans, one of the “predominant” botanicals.
The gin has an abv of 42.5% and is described as being a complex, spicy-sweet gin with “strong juniper elements”.
The distillery is located in the Ten Bells pub not far from the city centre and first distilled gin in 120L batches in December 2015.
Bullards Norwich Dry Gin can be purchased online from 12 May online at www.jarrold.co.uk, and numerous sellers from around Norwich including Harper Wells, Bijou Bottles and Reno Wine at an RRP of £38 per 700ml bottle.
