Distilled Spirits Council announces rebrand
Trade body the Distilled Spirits Council of the United States has dropped its acronym – Discus – in an effort to “modernise the association’s public presence”.
The newly named Distilled Spirits Council has unveiled a new company logo
Going forward, the association’s name will be abbreviated to Distilled Spirits Council. The council has also unveiled a new interim logo (pictured) ahead of planned future rebranding measures.
In October last year, the council appointed Kraig Naasz, former head of the American Frozen Food Institute (AFFI), as its president and CEO following an eight month national search.
His appointment followed the departure of Peter Cressy, who stepped down as head of the council after a 16-year tenure.
