Rémy GTR intros limited Cognac collection

In partnership with DFS Group, Rémy Cointreau Global Travel Retail has launched the first expression in Carte Blanche à Baptiste Loiseau, a new collection of limited edition fine champagne Cognacs from Rémy Martin.

Rémy Cointreau GTR has launched Rémy Martin Limited Edition Carte Blanche n°1, the first in a new collection of Cognacs

Initially available exclusively through DFS at Singapore Changi Airport, the expression has been created by Baptiste Loiseau, cellar master at the House of Rémy Martin.

Loiseau was appointed in 2014 at the age of 34 and has since tasted every eau-de-vie set aside at the House. The new collection represents the “carte blanche” he has been given to select liquid for blends.

Rémy Martin Limited Edition Carte Blanche n°1 includes Cognac from one particuar cask from the Gensac-la-Pallue cellar said to “truly embody” Rémy Martin, with given nosing and tasting notes of lilac, nutmeg, leather, incense and black tea.

The blend of eaux-de-vie were bottled at their naturally occuring percetage proof for “aromatic strength and finesse”.

“Rémy Martin is one of the best-loved brands of Cognac in the world and has over many generations established an enthusiastic fan base, particularly in Asia,” said Peter Sant, managing director, Rémy Cointreau GTR.

“Today’s consumers value heritage, tradition and authenticity, as did their forebears, but they covet also the new, the unusual, the exclusive. We are excited to work with DFS on the exclusive launch of this special limited edition, Carte Blanche n°1, the first expression from our new Cellar Master at the House of Remy Martin, Baptiste Loiseau.”

DFS Group senior vice president Wines, Spirits and Tobacco, Brooke Supernaw, added: “DFS has a long history of cultivating and curating exceptional products, so we were thrilled to partner with Rémy Cointreau to bring our customers first access to the extraordinary Rémy Martin Carte Blanche à Baptiste Loiseau.

“Baptiste Loiseau’s dedication to creating a unique blend of the best eaux-de-vie of the House of Rémy Martin has led to a cognac steeped in heritage that is sure to delight. We look forward to introducing visitors to our DFS stores in Asia and North America over the next six months to this new expression and are confident it will not disappoint.”

Presented in a “tradtional yet contemporary” Charetes bottle within a coffret, the packaging is said to “assure” the expression’s position among premium craft spirits.

Only 7,000 numbered bottles of Rémy Martin Limited Edition Carte Blanche n°1 have been produced, with the product only available through DFS at Singapore Changi AIrport from 15 April to 1 June, priced at US$400.

From 1 June, Carte Blanche n°1 will be rolled out across DFS stores at Hong Kong International Airport, Los Angeles International Airport, New York John F. Kennedy International Airport and San Francisco International Airport, where it will remain exclusive to DFS until the end of October. Distrbution witll then be extended to selected domestic markets.
