New firm to handle Label 5 UK distribution

International drinks distributor Interbev has launched a new brand management subsidiary, called Interbev Brands, which will handle Label 5 Scotch whisky in the UK.

Blended Scotch whisky brand Label 5 will be distributed in the UK by newly formed Interbev Brands

Interbev Brands is able to distribute, license and produce drinks from international and independent manufacturers alike.

Created to “give brand partners a unique model”, the company offers multi-channel distribution in the UK directly to consumers and trade through its own “fulfilment businesses” and also internationally through distribution partners.

In addition, it provides brand strategy and marketing expertise.

“Our business was established in 2008 to sell and distribute international drinks brands around the world and we have widespread experience in adapting to the changing dynamics of the market globally,” said Steve Brogan, founder and owner of Interbev Ltd.

“Expanding our business offer to include exclusive brand management was a natural evolution.

“Our model enables us to build dynamic plans that are scalable and not one size fits all for our partners to accommodate market opportunity, channel focus and investment, and importantly ensures that we are concentrated and focused.”

In addition to Martiniquaise-owned Label 5, Interbev Brands will handle UK distribution for Spanish beer brand Moritz and German pilsner beer Karlsbrau UrPils.

“Label 5 is a truly dynamic and international brand, positioned for Scotch whisky drinkers seeking a great value quality classic, with modern contemporary style,” said David Borthwick, UK sales director for Label 5.

“The team at Interbev Brands are experienced, agile, and entrepreneurial – together we are well positioned to build a solid following in the UK with our unique positioning in the market.”
