Mandarin Oriental London launches G&T menu

Bar Boulud at London’s Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park hotel has introduced an extensive gin and tonic menu featuring a number of new-to-market expressions.

Introduced this week, the gin and tonic list was developed to celebrate a quintessentially British spring/summer season set to feature the Chelsea Flower Show and the Queen’s 90th birthday celebrations

Head sommelier David Vareille selected and paired the ten gins with different tonics, plus and one alcohol-free serve. The list includes Bertha’s Revenge Milk Gin for Ireland and the Seedlip non-alcoholic “spirit”, both available for the first time in the UK at Bar Boulud.

The menu also includes Cambridge Bar Boulud Blend, a gin created with cucumber, lemon verbena and basil botanicals exclusively for the bar by the Cambridge Distillery, the team behind the “world’s most expensive” gin.

Bar Boulud is renowned for its American and French cuisine, with the creation of the gin and tonic menu “experimenting for people who come here for drinks – it’s nice to do something different,” a spokesperson said.

The gin and tonic pairing list in full:

  • Cambridge Bar Boulud Blend (England) with Franklin & Son Tonic, verbena sprigs and cucumber
