Sobieski launches ‘rare’ Dankowski rye vodka

Imperial Brands-owned Sobieski Vodka has launched an expression made using 100% “rare and exclusive” Polish Dankowski rye in the US.

Sobieski Estate Single Rye is created using a “very rare and exclusive” rye

Sobieski Estate Single Rye will roll out across on- and off-premise venues throughout 2016.

It is created in limited quantities at the Lancut Distillery, the oldest distillery in Poland, using Dankowski rye harvested from Polish fields and water from the Carpathian Fore.

“The launch of Sobieski Estate Single Rye is a natural extension of our Sobieski franchise,” said Nicolas Guillant, president of Imperial Brands.

“We pride ourselves on utilising the best quality, locally-grown single rye, while maintaining an affordable price point for consumers.”

Sobieski Estate Single Rye is said to have a “cool, soft and silky taste” of pear and herbs and a “slightly sweet” finish.

Sobieski Vodka is the best-selling rye-based vodka brand in the US, but Imperial Brands claims that the launch of Sobieski Estate Single Rye will play a role in expanding the brand “as a whole”.
