Rémy names new Oz distributor for Bruichladdich
Rémy Cointreau has appointed a new Australian distributor for its line of Bruichladdich Scotch whiskies and The Botanist gin.
Islay Scotch whisky brand Bruichladdich will now be distributed in Australia by Spirits Platform
Spirits marketing and distribution company Spirits Platform already supports Rémy Cointreau’s Cointreau and Metaxa liqueurs, Rémy Martin Cognac, Mount Gay Rum, among others.
The company will now take over from South Trade International as Australian distributor for the Bruichladdich range of single malts and The Botanist gin – both of which are produced at the Islay-based Bruichladdich Distillery.
“The Bruichladdich single malts and The Botanist gin have been in the vanguard of the craft spirits movement in Australia since being launched here through South Trade International in 2012,” said Rémy Cointreau regional managing director Mungo Gilchrist.
“I would like to thank South Trade warmly for the creativity and passion they have shown in developing the brands thus far. We look forward to building on this solid foundation with Spirits Platform in the years to come.”
Earlier this month, French drinks group Rémy Cointreau renewed a series of distribution deals in the US and entered into a new partnership with Republic National Distributing.
