Cointreau Creative Crew launches £20k bursary

The ‘Dream, Dare, Create’ initiative, first announced in 2015, will see one UK entrepreneur awarded £20,000 (about US$28,600) to support a creative project.
UK creatives from any field – Cointreau mentions cocktails, food, art, music, design and film – are invited to apply for the grant.
While the grant scheme is open to people of all genders, Casta said she embarked on the campaign to “inspire women to dare to be themselves” by fulfilling their dreams.
Casta, who was named creative director at La Maison Cointreau in January 2015, set up founded the Creative Crew with Guila Clara Kessous, a nominated UNESCO Artist for Peace.
As part of the Grant Scheme, Casta has appointed a ‘creative committee of experts’ to judge the first round of the competition by selecting ten finalists from participants that have applied online.
The panel includes Eleonore Moreau, Rémy Cointreau UK marketing director; Alfred Cointreau, Cointreau brand heritage manager; Tamika Sewnarain, brand manager at Rémy Cointreau Africa; Nick Ede, TV personality and philanthropist; Sandrae Lawrence, editor of The Cocktail Lovers; and a wider judging committee featuring a broad spectrum of creatives.
Once the finalists are announced, the Cointreau Creative Crew Grant Scheme Grand Finale will take place on the 24 May 2016 in Central London. The grand jury will meet with the ten finalists in person, before crowning the winner of the £20,000 Grant Scheme.
The grand jury comprises Casta and Kessous, alongside Rémy Cointreau CEO Valérie Chapoulaud-Floquet, Liberty of London managing director Ed Burstell, and Jo Elvin, Editor of Glamour UK magazine.
