Haig Club launches limited edition bottle design
By Amy HopkinsDiageo and David Beckham have launched a new limited edition bottle design for their Haig Club single grain Scotch whisky brand to target Christmas gifting opportunities.
Haig Club’s limited edition bottle design has been launched in global travel retail markets
Also created in collaboration with brand co-founder Simon Fuller, the bottle still features the whisky’s staple blue glass, but also incorporates a diamond-shaped stopper.
The one-litre bottle is exclusively available through duty free channels at an RRP of £39.
“This striking Haig Club Limited Edition has been developed exclusively for our travel retail partners in the run up to the key festive gifting season,” said Peter Fairbrother, global marketing director for Diageo GTME.
“Gifting is a key motivator in travel retail worth upwards of US$1bn during Christmas, New Year and Chinese New Year so we are keen to unlock the potential of this market. We know that customers and shoppers alike want easy access to exclusive and superior gifts.”
He continued: “After a successful first year for Haig Club in travel retail, we are committed and excited to sustain this initial impact. We are continuing to invest in the brand with this Limited Edition bottle size as well as disruptive retail theatre and sampling in our top 15 airports.”
The bottle design is also said to reflect the handcrafted Haig Club decanter gifted to David Beckham in celebration of his 40th birthday earlier this year.
