NB Gin secures US distribution deal

NB Gin is heading to the US having agreed an exclusive distribution deal with Duggan’s Distillers, as it strives to make exports account for 75% of total sales by 2017.

NB Gin will expand to the US having signed a distribution deal with Duggan’s Distillers

Launched in late 2013, the firm has doubled the number of exported bottles in the last 12 months and aims to grow the company to six times its starting size by 2017.

“Similar to the UK, the gin market in the United States is becoming more and more focused on small batch artisan brands,” said Vivienne Muir, CEO of NB Gin.

“Stockists are seeking out interesting and handcrafted gins because their customers are looking for variety, quality, authenticity and something which has a different ‘story’ to the mainstream brands.

“We’re thrilled that NB Gin can provide this, and are absolutely delighted that Duggan’s Distillers, which represents the world’s finest producers, has proactively selected our spirit as the first gin to be added to its portfolio.”

NB Gin’s launch in the US will be supported by a trade development visit to promote British gin throughout the country.

UK Trade & Investment, a group that works with UK-based businesses to help them succeed in overseas markets, chose NB Gin as one of 22 brands taking part in the “gin mission”, which will involve various events and tasting sessions in New York and LA at the end of October.

NB Gin is already available in markets including France, Spain, Germany, Denmark, Belgium and Australia.
