Dalmore opens first flagship store in Taiwan

Whyte & Mackay has opened its first “luxury” flagship store for Scotch whisky brand The Dalmore in Taiwan travel retail.

The Dalmore’s first flagship store features some of the brand’s most luxurious bottlings

Situated in the departure area of the Terminal 1 Concourse in Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport, Taipei, the store is described as a “luxury shopping destination” and has been launched in partnership with duty free retailer Everrich.

The area will showcase the brand’s high end expressions such as The Dalmore King Alexandre III – touted as the world’s only single malt created using a six cask finish.

The Dalmore Constellation Collection – which features 21 rare single cask bottlings – will also feature in the store, marking the first time the full range has been available in Asia.

“The Dalmore has excelled in travel retail and is one of the top five malts within Everrich’s spirits portfolio,” said Francesco Scaglione, travel retail director at Whyte & Mackay.

“We are thrilled to be unveiling our first ever flagship store which gives travellers a fantastic opportunity to further immerse themselves in the outstanding whiskies that we meticulously create at The Dalmore.”

The store is open now until 31 December 2015.

It was revealed this week that Whyte & Mackay, The Dalmore and Jura master distiller Richard Paterson had celebrated 45 years in the Scotch whisky industry.
