Even an abundance of new marketing campaigns and new product launches couldn’t reignite sales of William Grant & Sons’ Grant’s Scotch whisky. Hopes were raised after the brand saw its first volume increase in four years in 2013, but this momentum was proven to be short lived. Last year the brand switched its focus from older male consumers to Millennial drinkers, launching a new social media-led campaign and releasing the new Grant’s Signature which was designed to appeal to a younger audience.

Ballantines? William Peel? William Lawson’s? These brands aren’t even heard of let alone drank in Scotland. So much for authenticity.

  2. James Weir says:

never heard of william peel and i’ve been born and bred in scotland.

  3. Noel Moitra says:

Lawson’s 13 YO and Ballantines 17/25 YO are excellent blends. I am surprised at William Peel’s continued stay in the top 10-I’m not overly impressed by it. Moreover, I expected Grant’s 9 YO peated blend to climb the bandwagon.

But Scotland as a country gets nothing from these whiskies!
