Sage Beverages unveils ultra-premium TequilaBy Annie Hayes
US spirits, beer and wine importer Sage Beverages has expanded its portfolio with new 100% agave ultra-premium Tavi Tequila.
The brand is advertised as “one of the purest Tequilas on the market” and is made from a combination of water and 100% blue agave, which is grown and hand-picked in Mexico’s Jalisco highlands. It is also said to be gluten-free, organic and kosher.
A statement on Tavi Tequila’s website reads: “The expertly cultivated blue agave used in making Tavi Tequila can take anywhere from eight to 10 years to mature to the level that is acceptable. The Tavi Tequila agave plants are then hand-picked from our own fields in the volcanic nutrient-rich soils of the Jalisco highlands.
“Tavi Tequila is distilled then from nothing but pure, 100% blue agave juice and artesian water. There are no other additives to Tavi Tequila. You will not find sugars to increase alcohol content or artificial flavours to create a taste or even artificial colours to create consistent colour in any Tavi Tequila product.
“When you savour the taste of Tavi Tequila you can imagine the cleanest, purest agave juices fermented to perfection.”
The Tequila is bottled at 40% abv and is now available across the US.
