Quintessential to launch NAS Irish whiskey
Quintessential Brands is set to launch a new no-age-statement (NAS) Irish whiskey next month, called The Dubliner Irish Whiskey.
Quintessential Brands will launch The Dubliner Irish Whiskey in the UK in June
Crafted by master blender, John Drennan, The Dubliner Irish Whiskey is aged solely in Bourbon casks to deliver a “warm and smooth” expression.
The new release is said to have an aroma of fresh, grassy and apple notes with flavours of honey and pepper spice on the palate, leading to a “touch of caramel”.
Sinead O’Frighil, international brand manager for Irish Whiskies, said: “We are delighted to announce the introduction of Irish Whiskies to the Quintessential Brands portfolio of premium spirits.
“For over 20 years, Quintessential Brands Group company First Ireland Spirits has pioneered the way in crafting award-winning Irish spirts and the introduction of The Dubliner Whiskey launches us into one of the most exciting spirits categories.”
Bottled at 40% abv, The Dubliner Irish Whiskey will be unveiled for the first time at Vinexpo Bordeaux in June and will be available to buy from select retailers in the UK for an RRP of £25 per 700ml bottle.
It joins Quintessential Brand’s existing portfolio, which includes The Dubliner Irish Whiskey & Honeycomb.
In 2014, Quintessential Brands acquired First Ireland Spirits as part of ambitions to “expand into other Irish spirits categories”, and pledged to invest €4 million into expanding the subsidiary company last month.
