55 Above to launch craft potato vodka range

British spirits company 55 Above is readying to launch a range of five small batch potato vodkas in the UK.

The range of 55 Above potato vodkas will launch in the UK in April

The “artisan” collection will comprise five different premium variations of 55 Above: Pure Vodka (37.5% abv), The 56 (56% abv), Pineapple Infusion (35% abv), Coconut Infusion (35% abv) and Toffee Infusion (35% abv).

The vodka is made using British Maris Piper potatoes, sourced from a farm in the Cambridgeshire region of England to give a “distinctly clean and uncompromising taste”, and distilled in 200 litre copper alembic stills in the company’s Essex-based distillery.

The Pineapple and Coconut expressions are distilled with real fruit and filtered through more real fruit before being bottled.

Meanwhile, the Toffee variant is infused with the producer’s “unique” toffee recipe created specially for 55 Above.

“At 55 Above, we set out to make something new by employing traditional methods and values,” commented Alan Gilchrist, owner and managing director of 55 Above.

“What we’ve achieved is a unique range of vodkas using only the purest ingredients, bottled a few hundred at a time to ensure the highest quality and taste.”

The 55 Above potato vodka range will be available to buy online at www.55above.co.uk from 27 March before rolling out across the UK on 24 April.

Each expression will be available in either 200ml bottles with RRPs ranging from £8 to £12, or 700ml bottles with RRPs between £27.50 and £36.
