Oban Little Bay NAS Scotch makes US debut

Diageo has released an NAS Oban single malt Scotch whisky that will have exclusive availability in the US until the end of this year.

Oban Little Bay has been created from whisky matured in a variety of casks, including refill barrels with new oak ends, European oak and refill hogsheads, which have also been married together in small, “relatively inactive” American oak casks.

The 43% abv expression, created by master blenders Dr Craig Wilson and Dr Matthew Crow, is said to have notes of “richly fruited malt loaf”, orange zest and cloves.

Now rolled out across the US with an RRP of US$75, the new expression will not be available in global markets until winter 2015.
