Vodka brand that encourages gambling gets approval

A new vodka brand that encourages gambling has been given regulatory approval and is now on sale in Las Vegas.

Each bottle of Jackpot Vodka contains a redeemable code giving US$25 of casino credit to purchasers

Jackpot Vodka, which is already on sale in Nevada and Arizona, features a redemption code on the cap that when registered online gives the purchaser at least US$25 in resort credit to spend at Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas.

Brand founder Mark Florito claims Jackpot Vodka is the first spirit in the US to offer a gambling redemption code for a Las Vegas casino.

The brand’s Twitter page describes the brand as “our distilled spirit that will make you always a winner!!!”

According to Jackpot Spirits, the vodka has been granted regulatory approval, allowing Florito to achieve his goal of “marrying two of America’s favorite adult pastimes: adult beverages and Las Vegas”.

The vodka itself, which carries an RRP of US$24.99, is produced by the Golden Gate Distillery in San Francisco for Jackpot Spirits.

The offer began on 17 November this year, and will run until 31 December 2015. Jackpot Vodka is to begin additional distribution in California from January 2015.
