Tequila and Mezcal Fest to launch in UK
Lovers of Tequila and mezcal in the UK will soon be able to indulge their senses as the very first Tequila and Mezcal Fest arrives in London next month.
The inaugural Tequila and Mezcal Fest arrives in London this November
Taking place on 22-23 November at Grange Tower Bridge Hotel, the festival will feature agave-based spirits from some of Mexico’s finest producers all under one roof.
Visitors will be given an education of Tequila and mezcal’s production and consumption customs, including agave cooking, fermentation and distillation techniques.
Alongside a series of masterclasses and tastings, the festival will feature food and cocktail pairings, with salt and lime strictly forbidden, as well as a number of authentic Mexican food stalls.
“The Tequila & Mezcal Fest is the UK’s first ever and only festival dedicated exclusively to showcasing the best of the agave spirits,” said show founder Eduardo Gomez. “It was born with one objective: to educate consumers on how to drink and enjoy these two traditional beverages.”
Exhibitors already slated to take part include Olmeca Altos, Ambar, Cabrito, Partida, Jose Cuervo, Ocho, Sauza, Centinela, Del Maguey, Los Danzantes and many more. Other Mexican drinks showcased on the day include Bacanora, Raicilla and Sotol.
Live entertainment will be provided on the day by a DJ and the Doritos mariachi band.
