New Spiritual Award recognises spirits innovation

In collaboration with Vinexpo wine and spirits exhibition, The Spirits Business has launched a new award celebrating the Most Innovative Spirits Launch of the Year.

The Spirits Business has launched the Spiritual Award in collaboration with Vinexpo

The Spiritual Award – launched in partnership with trade show Vinexpo – recognises products released in 2014 that demonstrate supreme creativity and innovation in their category.

Introduced as part of The Spirits Masters, a blind tasting competition run by The Spirits Business, the winner of the new award will be selected according to taste, packaging and originality.

The Spirits Business first partnered with Vinexpo earlier this year to launch the Spiritual concept bar in its Hong Kong show, where brand owners were able to showcase their products through a variety of cocktails.

“Following the great success of the Spiritual Bar The Spirits Business organised and ran for Vinexpo Hong Kong with the support of the IBA and the Hong Kong Bar association we are delighted to launch this new award in connection with Vinexpo,” said Daisy Jones, associate publisher for The Spirits Business.

“We are also very excited about running the Spiritual Bar again next year in Vinexpo Bordeaux which will give the spirit brands a new platform to shine in an historically wine dominated show.”

The Spiritual Award 2014 will be judged by Vinexpo CEO Guillaume Deglise, The Spirits Business and a team of industry experts.

The inaugural winner will be announced at The Spirits Masters Awards Lunch in London on 4 December. The award costs £195 for the first entry and then £150 for any others.

Deadline for entries is 5 November 2014. Those wishing to enter should contact Daisy Jones at daisy@thespiritsbusiness.com.
