Vinexpo hires new directors amid year of ‘significant changes’
Wine and spirits exhibition Vinexpo has appointed two new directors amid a period of “significant changes” and the launch of a Tokyo show.
Vinexpo has appointed Mathieu Vanhalst and Richard Guyon to its team
The trade show has appointed Mathieu Vanhalst as sales director, having spent seven years working with TFWA in Cannes and Singapore.
Richard Guyon meanwhile has been selected as Vinexpo’s new marketing director. He joins the show with experience working with the likes of hotel group Relais & Chateaux.
The appointments come just ahead of the launch of Vinexpo Nippon in Tokyo on 1-2 November 2014.
Due to be held at Prince Park Tower, the exhibition is designed specifically for the Japanese market and is expected to attract over 4,000 professional visitors.
Organisers also claim the next Vinexpo show in Bordeaux, which will take place on 14-18 June 2015, will “feature some significant changes”.
Vinexpo also hosts an exhibition every other year in Hong Kong.
