Old Forester launches 2014 Birthday Bourbon
Old Forester has released its annual birthday Bourbon for 2014 that celebrates the birthday of brand founder George Garvin Brown.
Brown-Forman has unveiled its 2014 limited edition Birthday Bourbon
This edition, which mark the 13th annual birthday Bourbon release, is vintage dated and is described as having a “creamy vanilla character” with flavours of cinnamon, maple and citrus.
Garvin Brown founded Brown-Forman and Old Forester Bourbon more than 140 years ago, in 1870.
“Old Forester is the only bourbon still in existence today that was produced before, during and after Prohibition by its original distiller,” said Chris Morris, Old Forester master distiller. “No other bourbon brand sold in the U.S. today can make that claim.”
Old Forester Birthday Bourbon 2014, bottled at 97 proof, is now available in limited quantities across the US at an RRP of US$59.99.
In January this year, Brown-Forman launched the brand in the UK, marking the first time Old Forester had been made available outside of the US.
