Jack Daniel’s to sell whiskey by the barrel
Jack Daniel’s Distillery is now giving consumers the chance to buy whole barrels of its whiskey for around £13,500.
Jack Daniel’s has started selling its whiskey by the barrel
The Tennessee whiskey brand, owned by Brown-Forman, will offer entire barrels roughly containing between 240 and 260 bottles and will be delivered to customers sanded, varnished and personalized.
Prospective customers will have the opportunity to try a variety of different barrels before selecting the one they would like to buy after first taking part in a telephone consultation.
This will give investors the chance to own Jack Daniel’s single barrel whiskey, which only makes up around 1% of the brand’s output.
The single barrel is said to be “richer and smoother” since it is stored in the upper rafters of the barrel-house where the temperature is warmer.
Those who are interested in purchasing an cask of Jack Daniel’s can do so through The Whisky Shop.
