Greenall’s launches first new gins in 250 years

Greenall’s London Dry Gin is launching two new expressions next month for the first time in more than 250 years.

Greenall’s Sloe Gin and Greenall’s Wild Berry will be available in the UK from October

Distilled by G&J Distillers, Greenall’s Sloe Gin and Greenall’s Wild Berry have been described as “the biggest innovation” in the brand’s history, which dates back to 1761 when the company first started making gin.

“We are extremely proud of our best-selling gin which is the No. 2 standard gin in the UK, and are delighted that after 250 years we have introduced two new additions to the Greenall’s Gin family,” said Sinead O’Frighil of Greenall’s Gin, which is owned by Quintessential Brands.

“We have incorporated the original Greenall’s contemporary and vibrant British-inspired design to the new bottles and look forward to introducing Greenall’s Sloe Gin and Greenall’s Wild Berry to a new generation of gin lovers.”

The G&J master distiller added British sloe berries to Greenall’s eight botanicals to create a “warming drink perfect for autumn and winter drinking”.

Greenall’s Wild Berry is a combination of English blackberries combined with raspberries that are infused in Greenall’s Gin, generating a “vibrant, fruity taste” suitable for cocktails.

Greenall’s Sloe Gin is bottled at 26% abv and carries an RRP of £16 per 700ml bottle, while Greenall’s Wild Berry has an abv of 37.5% and an RRP of £15.50 per 700ml bottle.

Both expressions will be available at Morrison’s and Tesco stores throughout the UK from 1 October.
