Bacardi Legacy final 2015 to be held in Sydney
The global final for Bacardi Legacy 2015 will be held in Sydney, Australia, marking the first time the cocktail competition’s grand finale will take place in the Southern Hemisphere.
Tom Walker, bartender at The Savoy, is the most recent winner in Bacardi Legacy, the 2015 final for which will take place in Sydney
This year’s competition will see bartenders from 40 different countries – more than any previous year since its inception in 2008 – compete for the winning title.
The finalists will be selected following a series of national competitions held throughout the year before heading to the Australian city for May’s final round.
“We are very excited to be bringing the Bacardi Legacy to Sydney next year” says Caroline Hipperson, Bacardi global brand director. “It is a perfect opportunity to celebrate and showcase a growing and influential Australasian bar culture, within a city famous for its iconic backdrops and spectacular nature.”
“The effusive spirit and hospitality of this global city will provide the perfect inspiration and competitive arena for our extraordinary bartenders to shine.”
The final for Bacardi Legacy 2014, where UK bartender Tom Walker, from the American Bar at The Savoy, was crowned victor, was held in Russia.
