Krzysztof Trylinski, chairman of French drinks group Belvédère, maker of Marie Brizard spirits, has resigned from his post due to “personal reasons”.

Trylinski, who replaced Jacques Rouvroy as chairman of the company in 2011, will remain in his position until Belvédère’s general meeting on 16 September 2014.
He will be replaced by Benoît Herault, who has been an independent director and chairman of the audit committee at Belvédère since September 2013.
Before joining Belvédère, Herault spent more than 10 years at Goldman Sachs and several years with the Archon Group.
Last year, former Remy Cointreau executive Jean-Noël Reynaud was appointed CEO of Belvédère, which also produces the Sobieski vodka brand.
“Belvédère wishes to continue strengthening its governance in order to deploy a more efficient and rigorous organisation and make Belvédère a more integrated group,” a statement from the company read.
“This Executive Committee’s main mission will be to pool know-how and expertise within Belvédère in order to better meet the challenges facing the company’s brands and markets.”
