Crown Royal Canadian whisky has unveiled a limited edition blend to celebrate its 75th anniversary
Using hand picked whiskies form the brand’s stock, including a coffey rye expression, Crown Royal Monarch 75th Anniversary Blend is described as having a flavour of vanilla, caramel, fruit and spice.
Each bottle of the new blend will be individually numbered, swapping the traditional Crown Royal purple bag for a silver-coloured one.
Crown Royal was first launched in 1939 by a Canadian entrepreneur who wanted to present King George VI and Queen Elizabeth with a bottle of specially blended whisky to commemorate their journey across North America.
“Crown Royal was originally created for royalty, crafted over time and the fact that the whisky is still being enjoyed 75 years later is really special to all of us at Crown Royal,” said Andrew MacKay, master blender at Crown Royal.
“We’re excited to share this special limited edition blend with consumers and look forward to celebrating many more years of unmatched whisky.”
Bottled at 40% abv, Crown Royal Monarch 75th Anniversary Blend carries an RRP of CAD$75.
