Greece’s Roots Spirits makes UK debut

Greek spirits producer Roots Spirits is now available in the UK after the group secured a distribution deal with Spirit Cartel.

Roots Spirits is a collection of four spirits produced at Greece’s oldest distillery

Roots’ four Greek spirits, Mastiha, Herb Spirit, Tentura and Rakomelo, are produced at Greece’s oldest distillery using 160-year-old traditional recipes in “a fusion of old and modern tastes”.

The Mastiha (28% abv) is produced using the resin of the native Mastic trees on Chios island; Herb Spirit is a 30% abv blend of herbs and spices including dittany of Crete; Tentura is an “old school” Greek liqueur with notes of cinnamon, clove, nutmeg and citrus; while Rakomelo is a lightly spiced blend of raki and honey.

All four expressions are produced using natural extracts.
