Tormore Scotch range expands under redesign

Chivas Brothers has released 14 and 16 Year Old expressions from its Tormore DistilleryThe French drinks group’s whisky and gin business Chivas Brother has launched small batch Tormore 14 Year Old and a Tormore 16 Year Old, both aged in American oak casks.
Initially only available in limited quantities in France, the bottles are expected to roll out to other key markets throughout 2014.
“As consumers are putting more and more emphasis on the importance of provenance, the global demand for Scotch malt whiskies continues to grow,” said Nikki Burgess, global brand director for malts at Chivas Brothers.
“It is therefore the perfect time to introduce new, crafted single malts for discerning drinkers to discover.”
Tormore 14 Year Old is described as having notes of berries and spice, while Tormore 16 Year Old is said to possess flavours of barley sugar and vanilla.
Packaging for the brand has also been revamped, incorporating a logo which illustrates the distillery’s still room and surrounding landscape.
Tormore 14 Year Old and Tormore 16 Year Old will retail for €42 and €56 respectively.
