AU$700,000 worth of alcohol was stolen from a Sydney distribution centre
Police have now launched an investigation after large quantities of alcohol, which also included Champagne and pre-mixers, were stolen from the product distribution centre in Eastern Creek, West Sydney.
According to The Australian, detectives believe the thefts were carried out over 13 separate occasions spanning from July 2013 to December 2013.
It is thought the thieves used a large lorry to transport the stolen alcohol from the distribution centre and that it could have been transported to businesses around the Lurnea area.
The State Crime Command’s Property Crime Squad has created Strike Force Glenlee in order to investigate the thefts and will be targeting companies in the Lurnea area that may have recently received stolen liquor.
