Teeling Irish Whiskey launches in Latin America

Teeling Irish Whiskey has partnered with distributor Monarq to launch in Latin America, the Caribbean, and US duty freeIn partnership with distributor Monarq Group, the Irish whiskey brand will also expand into the US duty free sector, following on from its recently announced US launch with distributor Infinitum Spirits.
While Teeling Whiskey is currently a family-run small batch bottling company, it recently announced plans to open its own Irish whiskey distillery in Dublin.
Its bottling is hand-selected from casks of grain and malt whiskey which are further matured in ex-rum barrels.
“Given the importance of the territory for any Irish whiskey, plus the development of countries like Mexico and Brazil, we took our time selecting our importer and believe we have found a like-minded privately-owned partner to take advantage of the opportunity for our unique expressions of Irish whiskey,” said Jack Teeling, founder of the Teeling Whiskey Company.
“We look forward to working with the Monarq team and getting our Teeling Whiskey on back bars and shelves in the region.”
Irish whiskey has experienced significant growth in recent years, with sales growing over 400% since 2002, reaching 2.2 million cases in 2012.
In November last year, Teeling released a single grain whiskey to help “drive the expansion of the Irish whiskey category”.
