New wine-infused gin and Cassis sparkling vodka

The hybrid spirits category has advanced once again with two new releases – a wine-infused gin and Cassis-flavoured sparkling vodka.

Ferdinand’s Saar Dry Gin infuses gin with Riesling grapes

Ferdinand’s Saar Dry Gin infuses the spirit with Riesling grapes from the slopes of the Zilliken estate on the Saarburger Rausch site in Germany.

Before the Riesling infusion process begins, Ferdinand’s Saar Dry Gin is distilled in small batches using botanicals such as juniper, lavender and ginger.

This spirit then goes on to be infused with late harvest wines from the Grand VDP Saarburger Rausch.

Voz Vodka

It is named after Royal Prussian District Forester, Ferdinand Geltz, the historical figure who also co-founded the VDP Mosel-Saar-Ruwer growers’ group.

Meanwhile, new product Voz Vodka offers consumers a Cassis-flavoured sparkling vodka described as a “whole new drinking experience”.

Natural mineral water that is softened and deep-frozen is blended with a 100% grain vodka and Crème de Cassis flavours to create the finished product.

Ferdinand’s Saar Dry Gin will be available to buy from select retailers in the UK from next month at an RRP of £30, while Voz Vodka is available at www.vozvodka.com for £29.99.
