Pernod Ricard has appointed Doron Friedman as director of global travel retail at The Absolut Company.
The Absolut Company appoints Doron Friedman as director of global travel retail
Friedman was formerly area director of Latin America and the Caribbean domestic markets at The Absolut Company before he assumed the position of director of global travel retail on 1 January 2014.
He first joined The Absolut Company seven years ago as area director of America for travel retail.
With more than 20 years of international experience in the spirits industry, Friedman has held commercial, marketing and general management positions across various markets.
“I look forward with great excitement to returning to the dynamic GTR market,” said Friedman.
“It’s a great and exciting challenge to grow the business while providing the consumers with the unique experiences that only Absolut and its sister brands can bring to the table.”
Darryn Hakof, vice president of brand development at The Absolut Company, said he was very pleased to place the global travel retail operations in Friedman’s hands.
He said: “With Doron on board we are poised to continue pushing boundaries in the fast paced global travel retail market.”
