Rémy Cointreau enters honey market with flavoured brandy
Rémy Cointreau has launched a honey-flavoured brandy liqueur under its St-Rémy brand exclusively into global travel retail.
St-Rémy with French Honey is now available in global travel retail
St-Rémy with French Honey, a 30% abv blend of St-Rémy French brandy with natural honey from the South of France, is touted by Rémy Cointreau as being one of the world’s first honey-flavoured French liqueurs.
St-Rémy cellar master, Martine Pain, describes the liqueur as “highly refined… characterised by malted, flowery, woody and fruity notes”, and suggests it be drunk either neat as a shot or combined with a mixer such as cola in a long drink or cocktail.
Presented in a clear bottle decorated with bees, lilies and lavender, St-Rémy with French Honey has been launched into global travel retail alongside a full marketing campaign that features displays shaped like beehives and traditional French village push carts alongside the slogan “Honeystly French, Honeystly Delicious”.
Last November, Rémy Cointreau released St-Rémy à la Crème, a cream version of its St-Rémy French brandy, in global travel retail following a trial period in the US.
