Glittery Corky’s a “game changer” for liqueurs category
Global Brands is launching Corky’s Glitter Mix, the first speciality liqueur to contain edible glitter, in the UK on-trade this Christmas.

The UK-based group is “breaking the boundaries of the liqueur category” with the launch of Corky’s Mango Glitter Mix, a 15% abv blend of mango and edible glitter. The release will be the first in a series of sparkling liqueurs in the Glitter Mix line.
Global Brands marketing director Simon Green said the release is a “true game changer” for the category, creating “never before seen theatre of serve,” and “boosting interest and excitement in the liqueur category”.
Corky’s Glitter Mix is accompanied by a range of suggested serves for the festive season, including the Sparkling Tornado, a blend of Corky’s Mango Glitter Mix and VK Ice Storm.
“After a year of research and development, Corky’s Mango Glitter Mix blends together mango, one of the fastest growing flavours in the liqueur and soft drink categories, with a unique edible glitter ingredient, suspending sparkle within the liquid,” added Green.
According to CGA data, the liqueurs category is worth £836 million to the UK on-trade, growing at an annual rate of 19%.
