Knob Creek unveils first flavoured Bourbon
By Amy HopkinsBeam Inc has released the first first Knob Creek Bourbon flavor innovation – Smoked Maple – in honour of the brand’s founder Booker Noe.
Knob Creek Smoked Maple Bourbon – the first flavour innovation released by the brand – pays tribute to Booker Noe’s favourite flavours
Bottled at 45% abv, Knob Creek Bourbon Smoked Maple has been created to reflect the favoured flavours of Beam’s legendary master distiller, as well as his “passion for innovation”.
Fred Noe, seventh generation Beam master distiller and Booker Noe’s son, said: “In addition to his love for crafting and distilling quality Bourbon, he also enjoyed smoking meats in the smokehouse at his home and even crafting his own maple syrup from the sugar maples on the family property in Bardstown.
“Smoked maple brings these three flavours of smoke, maple and Bourbon together to honour Booker’s legacy and his quest for big flavour.”
Fred Noe, Jim Beam’s great-grandson, also recently celebrated the opening of Fred’s Smokehouse, a restaurant modelled on the historic Beam family smokehouse based at the company’s flagship distillery in Clermont Kentucky.
Knob Creek Smoked Maple Bourbon will roll out across the US throughout September at an RRP of US$30.99, following earlier releases this year of Knob Creek Single Barrel and Knob Creek Rye.
Beam has partnered with TV chef Michael Symon to promote the new flavoured expression as an ideal ingredient for a ham glaze.
