Olmeca Altos Tequila finally completes US roll out

Pernod Ricard USA has completed its roll out of Olmeca Altos Tequila across the US, almost three years after first launching the super-premium brand in the States.

Olmeca Altos Tequila is now available across the US

Created in collaboration with Dre Masso and the late Henry Besant, Olmeca Altos Tequila was first launched in select global markets in 2009.

The brand was introduced to the US in Chicago and Denver in 2010, before rolling out to California, Oregon, Massachusetts, Michigan and Indiana in October 2012, and Austin and Seattle in February 2013.

“We’ve carefully selected regions of the country that have a great appreciation for super premium Tequilas as well as bartenders with a known dedication to their craft.” Julie Falkoff, brand director for Olmeca Altos at Pernod Ricard USA said at the time.

Now the drinks group has finally completed its introduction of the brand across the country, with Olmeca Altos Plata and Reposado available at bars and retailers throughout the States.

“The US is the world’s largest Tequila market. Super-premium Tequilas represent 32.6% of total sales and with double digit growth, are outpacing traditional Tequila offerings,” said Sarah Sercia, associate brand manager for Olmeca Altos.

Henry Besant, renowned bartender and co-founder of Olmeca Altos, passed away earlier this year following a heart attack.
