World’s largest airport Tequila bar opens
Portland International Airport has become the destination for the world’s largest airport Tequila bar, with over 200 expressions on offer.
Sandovals Tequila Grill at Portland International Airport serves over 200 varieties of Tequila
Sandovals Tequila Grill boasts an extensive selection of spirits ranging from US$6 to $125 per serving, each of which has been hand-picked from Mexico by Tequila expert owner Danny Sandoval.
Situated airside in PDX’s C Terminal, Sandovals is perhaps the most exclusive Tequila bar in the world, open only to travellers with a valid plane ticket.
Commenting on his decision to open such a niche venue in an airport, Sandoval said: “You’ve got people who are sitting out here who are wonderful, who have nothing better to do. You have a captive audience and they have nothing better to do than to listen to you.”
Sandoval also operates a restaurant at Portland Airport food court before security, as well as three neighbourhood restaurants in the Portland area.
While Sandovals Tequila Grill may be the largest airport Tequila bar, the question remains whether it lives up to the world’s best Tequila bars.
