Jameson will host festivities in Dublin, Prague, Buenos Aires, Mumbai and Stockholm throughout March and on St Patrick’s Day (17 March).
The main event will be held in Dublin. Entitled ‘The Jameson St. Patrick’s Live Party’, the celebration will be headlined by Bombay Bicycle Club, Jape and The Cast of Cheers and broadcast around the world.
Howard Southern, international marketing director for Irish Distillers Pernod Ricard, said: “As the world’s No. 1 Irish whiskey, we are proud to offer an alternative Dublin St. Patrick’s Day experience to consumers around the world.”
Artist David Smith has designed the new limited edition bottle. Its design replicates the black bar mirror, which has been used in many traditional pubs in Ireland. It is available now in 24 different countries.
“The Jameson Live Global Broadcast and the Jameson St. Patrick’s Live party have proven to be very popular and we are confident that this year’s events will encourage even more Jameson fans to join in and embrace their Irish spirit,” added Southern.
Forty-three radio stations from around the world will broadcast from the Old Jameson Distillery in Dublin, describing the happenings in the Irish capital to listeners across the globe.
The concert will be streamed live on the Jameson website, which received over 25,000 hits on St. Patrick’s Day 2012.
