Salvatore Calabrese has returned to The Lanesborough eight years after leaving his post as bar manager
Calabrese, who now runs Salvatore’s at the Playboy Club in London, has returned to The Lanesborough as consultant for its Library Bar and Garden Room.
Calabrese has been working alongside the Garden Room’s new bar manager Davide Guidi to create a new celebrity-inspired cocktail list, which includes the Champagne Wonder, created for musician Stevie Wonder.
Having previously spent ten years as manager of the Library Bar, which is often frequented by high-profile guests, Calabrese will now continue to work closely with the existing bar team to ensure the hotel retains its exclusive reputation.
Last month Calabrese broke the Guinness World Record for serving the world’s most expensive cocktail, at £5,500 a glass.
Meanwhile, The Lanesborough has announced the appointment of its new cigar sommelier Neil Millington.
