Create a night out with Smirnoff

Smirnoff is asking consumers to create their own bespoke nightlife experiences as part of a new £7m media campaign.

The campaign, called “#YoursForTheMaking”, which will launch across key western European markets, aims to persuade consumers that they will have a better time by trying something new.

Smirnoff marketing manager Emma Sherwood-Smith said: “Smirnoff has been pioneering new and unique nightlife experiences throughout its history.”

Consumers will be encouraged to think up ideas for new and innovative nights out and share their thoughts via Facebook, Twitter and YouTube using the hashtag #YoursForTheMaking. The best nightlife ideas will then be brought to life in early 2013.

To help with the thought process, Smirnoff has enlisted the help of influential individuals in the UK music and nightlife industry to identify new nightlife ideas.

Sherwood-Smith added: “With #YoursForTheMaking we are asking our consumers to unleash their own inner spirit of inventiveness in their drinks and nightlife choices in order to have an even better time.

“We are working with leading nightlife curators to inspire and facilitate innovative new nightlife ideas, which continue to challenge conventions and inspire people to try something new.”

The best ideas will be realised in association with Smirnoff Nightlife Experiments in the on-trade via a bespoke activation package for bars, and in the off-trade through at-home party accessories.

A 60-second TV advertisement has been launched now in the UK.
