Cointreau Noir makes travel retail debut
Rémy Cointreau is launching Cointreau Noir – a blend of the famous orange liqueur with Rémy Martin Cognac – into travel retail this autumn.
Cointreau Noir will launch into travel retail in America this autumn
The 40% abv expression, formulated by Cointreau master distiller Bernadette Langlais and Rémy Martin cellarmaster Pierrette Trichet, will target the Americas first, moving into Asia and Europe later, the company said.
“Cointreau Noir marks a rare partnership between these two historic houses which have combined their talents to produce a new liqueur,” said Matthew Hodges, marketing and business development director at Rémy Cointreau GTR. “Cointreau Noir is a sultry, dark version of the orange liqueur we know and love – the blend of Cointreau with Cognac seems to add depth, which we believe will appeal to dark spirits connoisseurs, as well as lovers of cocktails like Cointreau Fizz.”
Cointreau Noir is described as fruity and fresh on the palate, combining zesty orange peel flavour with vanilla sweetness and mellow oak notes
