Ryan Chetiyawardana launches Tequila-only bar
Former Fluid Movement mixologist Ryan Chetiyawardana has teamed up with the man behind the Rebel Dining Society to launch a Tequila-only bar in London.
Launching in early September, Death by Burrito is a contemporary Mexican grill serving a tequila-only cocktail list devised by Chetiyawardana, featuring Jose Cuervo Tradicional.
The bar’s aim is to make the experimental cocktail list an inseparable part of the dining experience.
The cocktail list features items such as the Pink Paloma with Jose Cuervo Tradicional, raspberries and Aperol with vanilla salted grapefruit soda; the Turbo-Chelada with Tradicional, Mexican lager, cucumber and lime with a thyme salt air; and You da Ho-chata with Tradicional an spiced horchata with cinnamon, cardamom and smoke.
Located at Shoreditch’s renowned Catch bar, Rebel Dining Society founder Shay Ola has created a menu to specifically match the cocktails. Braised Pork Belly Burritos, Baja Fish Tacos and Lobster Ceviche feature alongside smaller dishes such as Tempura Shrimp and Crab Cakes.
