Asian inspiration for new London bars
London bar and restaurant group Drake & Morgan has revealed it is to launch two new sites next year.
Drake & Morgan’s The Haberdashery in Holborn will feature Asian design influences
The bar group, known for its modern design-led approach, will open The Happenstance at No.1 St. Paul’s Churchyard and The Haberdashery at Sixty London, Holborn.
The Happenstance will feature eye-catching floor to ceiling windows with optimal views of St. Paul’s Cathedral, with a kitchen, deli, mixology table, florist, bar and dining room serving 238-covers.
The Haberdashery meanwhile will be double the size with room for 478-covers and will be spread across three floors, featuring an additional cheese and wine room.
The two openings will bring Drake & Morgan’s total London bar portfolio to seven sites.
While managing director Jillian MacLean has previously taken inspiration from America for bars such as The Anthologist, The Happenstance and The Haberdashery have been influenced by bars in Hong Kong, Shanghai and Tokyo.
