Harry’s Bar vodka gets UK distribution
I Spirit Vodka, the premium spirit produced by the owner of Harry’s Bar in Venice, is to be distributed in the UK by Hi Spirits.
Distilled in Venice, I Spirit Vodka is a blend of wheat vodka and pressed grape juice from Friuli and Veneto with a 40% abc, and is the creation of Arrigo Cipriani, owner of Harry’s Bar, Lapo Elkann of the family behind Fiat, and distillers Marco Fantinel and Francesco Cosulich.
Currently available in France and Italy, the brand will no be distributed in the UK on and off-trades for the first time.
Jeremy Hill, chairman of Hi-Spirits, said: “We’re delighted to have added I Spirit Vodka to our portfolio of premium spirits brands. A conventional Italian Grappa includes the grape skins and pips in the distillation to make a wonderfully rustic spirit. By combining wheat vodka with a spirit made simply from pressed grape juice, you create a very different drink with a much more urban and sophisticated feel.
“We’ve developed a deep respect for the craft and experience of Italian distillers through the Antica Sambuca and Volare cocktail liqueur brands, and our partnership with I Spirit Vodka builds on the success we’ve had with those brands in the UK on- and off-trade.”
I Spirit Vodka has an RRP of £29.95 for a 70cl bottle.
