The Gin-Vent Calendar

The Gin Blog is launching its own “Gin-Vent” calendar, a festive and boozey take on the traditional advent calendar.

Measuring one metre by one metre, this is not your standard advent calendar. And with a different gin behind each of the 25 windows, this isn’t one for children, either.

The calendar will be on view in London’s Graphic Bar, which his also home to the ginophilic Juniper Society.

Gin fans will have the opportunity of winning all of the 25 gins features in the calendar through a lucky dip-style competition, where a name will be chosen at random. To be entered into the competition, participants must sign up to the Juniper Society’s mailing list.

The winner of 25 gins (with a cumulative value of £600) will be announced on Boxing Day.

In addition, there will be daily competitions through The Gin Blog’s Twitter feed with the gin of the day up for grabs as a prize for correctly answering a gin-related question.

The gins involved in the calendar/competition are as follows (in no particular order): Beefeater & Beefeater 24, Tanqueray & Tanqueray No.10 Gin, Geranium Gin, No.3 Gin, Sloane’s Gin, Hayman’s Old Tom & Hayman’s 1850 Reserve Gin, SW4 Gin, William’s Gin, Greenall’s Gin, Bloom Gin, Berkeley Square Gin, Sipsmith Gin, Whitley Neill Gin, The Botanist Gin, Sacred Gin, Darnley’s View Gin, G’Vine Nouaison & G’Vine Floraison Gin, Caorunn Gin, Plymouth Gin, Edinburgh Gin and Bombay Sapphire.
