Licor 43 enters Canada
Licor 43, the most widely distributed Spanish liquor in its category, sold in over 60 countries with worldwide annual sales volume of approximately 500,000 cases, is now available in Canada.
Distributed in English Canada by WineRunners Incorporated, distributor of premium wines and spirits in Canada, Licor 43 has had strong initial market penetration in the western-most provinces of British Columbia and Alberta, and is set to be introduced into Ontario, followed by the rest of English Canada, thanks to growing demand.
As is the case worldwide, Licor 43 appeals to a broad demographic in the Canadian market. The North American “Mini Beers” promotion (Licor 43 presented in a miniature beer stein, topped with whipped cream “foam”) is targeted to the 18-30 year old consumer and is well received in bars and nightclubs. However, thanks to its versatility, Licor 43 is also consumed neat, on the rocks, and in hundreds of cocktails, thus appealing broadly to discerning, trendy, sophisticated, middle and upper class consumers.
