The Spirit Show London opens its doors
By Kristiane SherryLondon’s first spirits event of its kind gets under way today as The Spirit Show London opens to consumer visitors.
The two-day event features more than 200 different spirits, with thousands of visitors expected to take part across the three sessions.
New additions to the exhibitors list include Yanghe Distillery, with its range of baijiu expressions, Sash & Fritz vodka, and Cloven Hoof Rum. Other names exhibiting include Duncan Taylor, Berry Bros & Rudd and Brighton Gin.
A special Rum Row area, hosted by Peter Holland from The Floating Rum Shack sees a plethora of rum brands, including Rum Sixty Six, Wild Tiger Rum and Westerhall Estate all available to sample. In addition, a rum masterclass will take place, hosted by Holland and Mahiki’s Georgi Radev, to take visitors on a journey through rum history.
A Spirits Show app has been released as a guide to the show. The free download is available from the Apple App Store and Google Play, and features all essential show information, including masterclass schedules, exhibitor listings and more.
For those looking to test their knowledge, the app also features The Spiritual Pursuit, a game where visitors answer a range of questions in order to win a spirit-themed prize.
